	Story Behind the Song This was the first song written the song writing team of Billy Kulick and Michael Cormican. The song came together when music that Billy had with a previous band came to resurface in the new project. "It was agreat rhythm and all I thought it needed were some great lyrics". Explains Michael. "I sat down one day with Billy and wrote out the idea and the rest of the song evolved over about a week or two." Lyrics I stood under the night and watched the stars that were shining bright. Reminders of the eyes I thought were gone. The moon rose high as it climbed into the sky. And with its smile graced the time all we thought was dead and gone. I lost my way in a time that felt so strange. Security was a promise led astray. And all I've learned came from the lessons and mistakes. It was then that I realized that its the world that we make. I recall the day when our fate took it all away. The headlines read it stole our innocense today. And the promise then was no matter, no matter when when. We'd slove the crisis so then why did we stop from trying again. Did we lose our faith that kept our hearts from gone astray. Or did the hope(love) just fade and fall away. Can our past teach us to drop the mask. 'Cause the world we make is the only one we have.
