Story Behind the Song
Remember back in the day, sampling tea kettles, and using stab brass?
Inspired by the name of a heavy metal radio show on WERS (88.9 FM, Emerson College, Boston, MA) by the same name, I always wanted to do a song called "Nasty Habits".
Is TLC a drug? Sure, love is a drug too.
Lyrics
Nasty Habits
Checking out the nightclub scene
Saw a fly boy at the bar
Like the cover of a magazine
Classy as a movie star.
So, I gave him the eye
He strutted over to me.
After several drinks, I wondered if he'd be with me.
He got me into his car and much to my surprise, a rock of crack cocaine he proceeded to light.
It really blew my mind, that a boy so fine
How could he be so blind?
I told him he was out of line.
Too bad such a pretty face, inside was a disgrace.
Could have had it all and more, but he needed to score.
Nasty, you got those nasty habits.
Love is the only drug this girl is thinking of.
Nasty, you got those nasty habits.
I got the dope you need, in the form of TLC.
