Story Behind the Song
When I create songs, I become a bit compulsive/obsessive with the creative process. I think the lyrics pretty much speak for themselves

In the Zone

In the quiet hours, In the deepest part of night;
Most people are sleeping, and the dawn’s nowhere in sight;
There’s Just me and my guitar; And I’m feeling alright.
I’m hardly ever lonely, Though I’m usually alone.
Not many will miss me, When I’m finally gone.
And I really don’t care, When I’m in the Zone.
It doesn’t make any difference to me, If I stay at home.
People tell me that it’s bad for my health, but I love it when I’m in the zone.
You know I’ve got a little help, Just like an old friend.
It helps to keep flying, when I don’t want it to end.
Sometimes I’ll put it down, but pick it up again.
You may think I’m crazy; But I feel so alive.
Some day it might kill me, or I’ll have to decide.
Whether To swim or to drown; Whether To live or to die.
LEAD
It doesn’t make any difference to me, If I stay at home.
People tell me it’s bad for my health; But I love it when I’m in the zone.
So don’t you worry, Don’t you worry about me.
Cuz I don’t want to live, If I can’t be free.
To live my life, The way I want to be.
I’m not really scared, of the big unknown.
I know I’ll reap the seeds that I’ve sown.
And when I die, I hope I’m in the Zone.
And when I die, I hope I’m in the Zone.
