Story Behind the Song
The immediate declaration that Osama Bin Laden had started a war after the 911 blasts truely concerned me as a patriot. We were at war with someone and something before we knew for shure who was to blame. Afghanistan did nothing to the US, and it's citizens most definately did not attack us. It was a terrorist organization from all areas that had harmed us. The American public drew togehter to feel proud of our freedoms and lifestyles but in the process neglected our fundamental right to free speech. No one seemed to care why someone would blow themselves up to kill us. And then it turned into a holy war as Bush declared: God is on our side. How quickly we move on to Iraq and forget that we have not found Bin Laden, and how quickly will we move to somewhere else to rattle our sword as the new Roman empire. I am a patriot because I care vary deeply for this country, but I do not agree with our leaders actions. [Rev.Nero]
Lyrics
Simple Fact: Lyrics
We all agree, we taste and see soil and concrete. To bleed a little, to purge and feel cleansed and visceral. Push your face in it, like the taste- its serves a hunger. Tell me how to feel, cause most of these guys could care less. American indifference.
Theyve got nothing to lose, weve seen this anomaly, hey. Were kidding ourselves bombing cause they have no economy. All we we can do is blow dirt from A. to B. doesnt anyone see a huge problem but me? They say Jesus saves in a couple of songs, why not make a crusade and scratch a cross on our bombs.
Why try, when you can be indifferent.
Why cry, when you can be indifferent.
