Story Behind the Song
This song is about a young groupie that always hangs out at the back stage door, waiting for the Star of the show.
I wrote it at several different places. In all it took several days to get the lyric flow just right. I recorded it in about two days.

Lead in:
There comes Lucy. There comes Lucy
Verse I:
Her fingers struggle with a button
and loose thread.
Her breath quickens as she ponders
what lies ahead.
Chorus:
She_s been here many times before,
waiting on the Star of the show.
Her name is Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, oh Lu-cy.
Verse II:
Her fingers fumble with an eye lash
out of place.
Drops of moisture trickle down
her pretty face.
Chorus:
She_s been here many nights before,
waiting at the back stage door.
Her name is Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, oh Lucy.
Harmonies:
La_la_di_di_da, ugh, ugh (three times)
Lucy don_t, Lucy don_t.
Verse III:
Her body shivers from the wind
blowing low.
Her mind wonders where he wants to go.
Chorus:
She_s always there for the take_in',
and wanting his love make_in'.
Her name is Lucy_, Lucy, Lucy, oh Lu-cy.
Verse IV:
Her body trembles as she calls out his name.
She_s always ready to play his manly games.
Chorus:
She_s been here many times before,
waiting on the Star of the Show.
Her name is Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, oh Lucy.
Harmonies:
La_la_di_di_da, ugh, ugh (three times)
Lucy don_t, Lucy don_t.
La_la_di_di_da.
