	Story Behind the Song the music originated out of a jam. we were working with a type of music we called "used jazz" which sounded kind of jazzy but with more distortion and jumping. it was the first of our harder songs. the lyrics came out of the study of a number of science fictional works including "childhoods end" and "12 monkeys" Lyrics all trace of life must hide under ice send it terminate the messanger ration we left far behind we had no choice gaurd it sacrifice all signs of life could it have grown in cement? we had no choice
