This is a cool version of my new song mixed on a boom box tape recorder, to give it that extra-special low-fi comic-books-in-the-garage feel. |

Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song a few years ago, but didn't record it until recently. Since I had taken some time off from college to make music, I had this feeling like I was still a teenager, kind of like Peter Parker, who spent a long time growing up in the original Spider-Man comic books. It's a comic book, so time is stretched-- sure, Peter Parker didn't remain a teenager all that time, but he had an interesting way of stretching those years by snapping photos for a newspaper and fighting crime on the side, in his other life. That's a little like trying to be a rock star-- you go to college or have some job at a newspaper or pizza place, and then in your other life, you get on stage and make music, you shop your CD around, etc. It stunts your growth on a superficial level, but you actually learn a lot from the double life experience. College can wait-- just ask Spider-Man.
