	Story Behind the Song This is a song that uses a lot of imagery. The imagery, however, appears to be from the point of view of someone with a very ignorant perspective on what Heaven is like. It alludes to the traditional streets paved with gold, angels with wings, yadda yadda yadda... This song is about two friends of mine who, in their own ways, challenged me to live with an eternal perspective, Heaven being the goal. Since at that time, I indeed WAS very ignorant about Heaven, I wrote the words to this song in the way that I viewed Heaven at the time--an ethereal, Hollywood version with fluffy clouds, angels flying around playing harps, and streets paved with gold. I originally wrote this song to be primarily a piano song with guitar embellishments, and while our keyboard player was still doing shows with us, that's the way we played it live. Then when he quit to spend more time with his family, we replaced the keyboards with another guitarist and it evolved into more of a power pop song. And since I don't have easy access to a keyboard, I recorded it all with guitars, bass, drums and vocals.
