Story Behind the Song
This song was inspired by a blood red moon I saw one evening in early 2002 covering the Memphis skyline. In the midst of all the troubles of the world, I saw this moon and wondered what the Earth must look like from that perspective. And the realization that no matter what is going on down here, from the vantage spot of the Moon, the Earth will always appear beautiful. No matter what we do to the environment, no matter what war is or is not being fought down here, if you step far enough back you will always be able to see the beauty.
