Story Behind the Song
I am the head of a musical group called "Impact" and on Saturday, September 16th I wrote a song entitled "New York City". It is a tribute to those lost in these attacks and to the brave men and women that carry on above and beyond all expectations in the wake of that terrible
day in our nation's history. It is my heartfelt desire that this song be given freely to every member of the US military, to the families of those who were lost, and to the rescue workers that have been tireless in their efforts in the aftermath. Any profits will go to various agencies such as the American Red Cross and the United Way that are providing relief to the families and rescue workers at ‘ground zero’.
If you would like to share in our vision I would ask you to please do everything you can to play your part in making this desire come to play and to help those in our country to heal and to firm their resolve against our hidden enemies.
To those of you who are Pastors, Ministers, and Rabbis I would ask that you play this song at your services for your congregations and allow them to sign up to receive a copy of this song free of charge.
To those businessmen and women around the country that make our economy the greatest in the world, I would ask that you simply play this song in your businesses, for your employees and customers and share the vision of what I have presented to you and offer them copies as well. Encourage them to make a tax-deductible contribution to support our efforts.
To the youth of this great country - play this song for your families, friends and teachers and offer them copies of this CD as well.
And to all the rest who desire to play their part in making this happen, I ask you to do
whatever you can to work along side us in uniting and strengthening our people everywhere.

Lyrics
America, America - the land of liberty, freedom and pride
For too long now we've turned our backs on what we've become
But now the time has come to turn and look inside
God bless America - bless us all today
To turn around in this dark hour and seek Your way
We cry for glory and power and say it's the American way
But our hearts were changed in New York City today
America, America - the moment is at hand
When we can turn the tide
Down on our knees, arm in arm and hand in hand
Weeping for the fatherless and all of those who've died
God bless America - bless us all today
To turn around in this dark hour and seek Your way
We cry for glory and power and say it's the American way
But the world was changed in New York City today
We must resurrect inside our hearts
All the things that make this country strong
The spirit of a nation that will rise as one
And sing aloud this sacred song
God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with the light from above
From the mountains to the prairies to the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home
God bless America, my home sweet home
