	Story Behind the Song My original intent for composing this song was to praise past heroes of Texas history, and issue forth a call for all of us to take responsibilty for fighting against the oppression and injustice which exist today. The hard power games being played out behind the scenes for wealth and political power are creating crisis for both mankind and our earth. But together, united in mind and spirit, we possess the greatest power of all - the will of the people! So let us awaken from our long sleep of illusion, both individually and collectively, and emerge as the leaders of a new age of human dignity. Using the soft powers of dialouge, empathy, and respect, we can recognize the simular goodness that is inherent in ourselves and all people. Lyrics Heroes of the Earth By: B.
