Story Behind the Song
Singer/songwriter Brad Raker and jazz pianist/composer Gary Farr spent over 6 months working on Jabalopa alone. Gary later brought in his wife Nora Farr (a published author) to write and narrate the poetry to Jabalopa and Cosmic Justice. From there, several songs were written and recorded from 2001-2002. Singer and songwriter Matt Farr contributed his own amazing sounds and lyrics to complete these unique sounds from trance, dance, techno, electronica, break beat to acid jazz. DJ houses in South Beach in Miami have already proven it to be a requested CD.
Lyrics
JABALOPA by Gary Farr, Brad Raker, Nora Farr
Verse: Jabalopa, Jabalopa
Keep your head up and your eyes open, your head.
Chorus: Take me to Jabalopa, a place where the heart and mind can be free.
Close your eyes, take a deep breath.
Relax your body and let the light of love fill your soul.
You will have yourself walking in a luscious garden filled with extraordinary beauty.
All who greet you will welcome you with open arms.
You won’t find hatred, there is only love.
You won’t find suffering, there is only contentment.
Peace of mind and peace of heart are the only roads that will lead you to
Jabalopa. Jabalopa. Peaceful state of mind.
Verse: Keep your head up and your eyes open. Your head, free, Jabalopa.
Roads that will lead you to Jabalopa.
