	Story Behind the Song During a time of withdrawl and rebellion from God, a time God probably should have snuffed me out, He chose to be merciful instead. God blessed me in so many ways. It was His loveing kindness and the song "Why Me Lord" that finally made me look up and pay attention. There are so many scriptures that attest to His longsuffering, grace, and mercy, to which I am truly grateful. Along with these scriptures there are those that sound off the warning that God will not leave the guilty unpunished. I thank God I was brought to repentance by His Love, before the coming judgement He could have used to gain my attention. Exodus 34:6-7 6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."
