Story Behind the Song
This particular song was recorded in Baschurch, Shropshire on a make-shift studio consisting of a regular home PC, a borrowed keyboard and a crappy mic. Roger was on a social visit but to have a bit of fun we decided to make a song. The lyrics depict an individual reminiscent of their youth and the innocence of childhood, only to enter a shocking new world where you really have to watch your back. It also describes how your soul and heart can really get worn down, so much so that they can eventually become 'transparent' almost as if they are non functional and the raw human instinct is all that prevails in order to survive. The recording is a little raw, but none the less, I hope its enjoyed by all.
Lyrics
Yea, For real.
R.I.P B.I.G
Fo Sho'
-chorus-
Everybody watch yo back,
everybody watch yo back.
-chorus-
When you're a little kid life is meant to be fun,
Spending lazy days pissing round in the sun
And you don't even realise the day is upon you,
'cos they're gonna come soon and they're gonna try and finish a few.
Just an innocent fight and it starts off a war,
From one person to two,
And then more and more.
You try and fend them off saying sorry and please,
My emotions they turn off and now they freeze.
After seeing just enough your body gets tough,
Your heart and your soul, they're clear and they're rough.
So what I'm trying to say to you to stay off the rack,
Is everybody please watch your mother fucking back.
-chorus-
Everybody watch yo back, fo sho
-repeated variants-
