Story Behind the Song
I've always been attracted to the R&B sound, that is the kind of energy and feel that seemed to flow out when I wrote "Break the Silence". Even though it's kind of got a funky rhythm, the lyrics are quite somber and moody. The subject of this song is about trying to break free from some sort of repression that prevents someone from being their true self. Sometimes it can be hard as an artist, trying to find a place to fit. But if a chance is taken and the tidalwave of colors is released, synchronicity can occur, and it changes the world in some way. - Gina
Lyrics
Tight rope walking
Over this black hole existence
Sends you in a state of disarray
Like a fiery tidalwave
You've got to let it give way
Hey, hey, hey
With all your rhythmic colors
You're gonna break the silence
Only one way to get to it
Only one way to get to it
Only one way, only one certain way
And second guessing
All of this vibrant underworld
Leads you on a solemn way
Like a fiery tidal wave
Won't you let it give way
Hey,hey, hey
With all your brilliant colors
You're gonna break the silence
Open all the floodgates
Open all the floodgates
Then you will
Then you will
Set things in motion
Oh in motion
With all your flying colors
You've got to
Break the Silence
And with all your rhythmic colors
You're gonna break the silence
Break the silence, break the silence
Break the silence, break the silence
