	Story Behind the Song I wrote this one after watching two of my lady friends get bruised up by inattentive and inconsiderate boyfriends. I did not have anything to do with the breakup of those relationships, I was only pretending I could be a hero like that. But, I've found that many of my songs turn out to be predictions of my own future - This was one of them. A couple of years after writing this one I met Samantha and lived my own song. The melody of this song came to me as I was driving up to Santa Barbara one weekend. I had no tape recorder so I hummed it to myself for two days until I could get back to my studio. It started out as part of "Her Turn To Cry" but I soon split them off into two songs. Lyrics You treat her like a child, But she's a woman in every way she can.
