Story Behind the Song
This song was motivated by the thought of someone trying their whole life trying to get into another's heart and failing over and over, and the person with the heart of stone is dying and never lets anyone in their heart. and now the other person knows that time is running out and there is nothing they can do and they don't realize what they had until it was gone. they don't realize that their chance to get into the herat of stone is gone now that person is gone and all the pain of someone leaving is starting to set in. but i also wrote the song to fit into anyone's life, whether it was someone leaving someone else or whatever they want it to be. i want this to apply to people everywhere if i know it will help someone out somewhere... i wrote this song in my room of my old house and it took about 5 minutes, one of those fast songs. i started writing and the words flowed out, but Nate wrote the second verse that same night.
Lyrics
My eyes cry only these tears
Pain and confusion massacre through the years
You said "I'm leaving", the moment's come too soon
I love you I'm breathing, You said "the train leaves at noon"
Then night turns to morning and all of your glory falls from your face,
And all the confusion and all the frustration seems to set into place as the train speeds you away...
The tracks roar, I die, Your eyes turn away
My guilt shows the pain that was hidden through the gate
But one thing's for sure, I'll live through this day
I love you I'm healing, but that day will never fade away
(chorus 2X)
