    Story Behind the Song
This tune was written in my senior year in high school. WhatI had in mind while writing the lyrics was sort of a metaphorical view of high school. You go through thinking about the trivial stuff and really letting it get to you and then in the end you realize that it's extremely unimportant (or in the case you realize it when the waves crash down and destroy the city). Marc wrote the instrumental part that you will find most impressive and also the solo. Enjoy

    Lyrics
Here we stand, where we are, have always been. Treasure in hand, exceeded by our thoughts within. Lost romance. Will we ever find our second chance? Tasting the sand, aching for escape again. Hearing you, the roaring sea. All alone if not for me. The morning dew. Humanity. Everywhere, where I will be. The days are few, too long for me. No one knows what's our's to see. The waves come through. Castrophe. The perils of insanity. Paradise. Our fleeting faith. Death shines through and radiates. Our crying eyes burnt at the stake. Hopes and dreams disintigrate. To realize our last mistake look upon the empty plate. To live our lives, to dedicate. A sacrifice of our fate.
