	Story Behind the Song Due to my old friend insomnia, I have always had trouble falling to sleep at night. While staying with relatives in Maryland, I began playing the guitar at night until I was able to fall asleep. Rush was written on one of those nights when music was my comforter. The first line of this song exhibits my exasperation of not being able to go to sleep, and the rest of the song went on from there. Rush is written to mean something different for whoever listens to it.
