    Story Behind the Song
It's about the 1st warm day of spring, and about coming back to life after a bit of a down period - like the first day you feel good again after being sick, or like when you find your muse after being deserted for awhile - that sort of thing. All those moments when you feel life's bounty at it's fullest.

    Lyrics
    Clover

Today I opened my eyes for the first time in a long time
Today I saw the sun shine for what feels like the first time

Stuck all winter in the ice and snow
summer’s here at last so let the healing flowers grow

    Chorus
Come down, touch the ground, wintertime is over
Lay down, on the ground, buttercups & clover
Get down on the ground, wintertime is over
Lay down, on the ground, buttercups & clover

Today i stood in the rain, and did not run for cover
Today I’m feeling no pain, and life has got a lover

Prisoner of the waters of the flood
Stand up in the bathtub now, it’s time to pull the plug

    repeat chorus
solo over 1st half verse changes, then:

Stuck all winter in the ice and snow
summer’s here at last and I just want to let you know

    repeat chorus, over & over!
