Starts out w/ harmonic guitar riffs, voice comes in carrying the song to a guitar blasting bridge to a main verse with subtle riffs and harmonics. Then bursts again into the energetic bridge part and then a repeat of the intro. The song goes on to break out into guitar and bass solos and a strong ending. Voice carries most of the song, along with the guitars. I strongly reccommend a listen, not for me, but for the sake of modern music.

    Story Behind the Song
This song was written in the spring of 2002. I was sitting in my basement trying to make a song I could not just be proud of, but that other people would wake up to. As college was on its way and summer was only a matter of months, I really began to think about whether I wanted to go all the way or put it aside like so many do. Within the writing of this song I realized exactly what I wanted to do with myself, despite the costs. With only instruments, a microphone, and a laptop computer, I recorded this song in less than an hour and it is one of my favorites to date. I hope you listen.

    Lyrics
    Confide in the microphone now,
    Lay your B-side down
    on the stereophonic track
Track it back to the individual who started it all, (it's you)

    It was March 29, 2002
I was sitting in my room just writing a tune
Been sittin here thinkin since yesterday
Gotta get outside and get away.
I looked up in the bright blue sky,
The rhyme was just floating there, crystalized.
I lay it on out through my new style voice.
Along with Strings it sounds so nice. (noice)

When you get the rhythm you just know how it is, Don't gotta think about it it just comes like this.

Always gotta be one of you no-beat pushers,
Don't understand it and you think it's cool to knock it,
I don't care if you give a shit because shit is all you give for me being a person and choosin how to live.
Talkin bout the realists that say I can never do it, just go to school and go to work, you gotta stick to it.
I'm not saying, conveying that there's something wrong with that, I just wanna do what I do best and lay it down phat.

You can try to aggrivate me.
You can try to penetrate me
    And my way of being.

Yo this is Jake and I'm back in the mix,
I'm running things and I plan on rollin six.

    Hear what I'm sayin
    Just find yourself out.
    I cannot believe this shit,
It just makes me wanna shout.
Tradin in your hours at the 9 to 5,
But that's the life I can live without.
It may take days and it make take months.
It may take yers and it may take my life.
But anything goes, what I'm talkin about.
I just wanna be heard I just wanna get out.

Freakin out like Tommy from Motley Crue.
Runnin up and down and straight on through,
Staying consistent and just for the hell of it,
Speaking on nothing just to watch the pit.
So the main concern here is not the war,
    Overseas or with the poor.
The juice is loose and there's always more,
If you don't like it then there's the door.
    (Check back with you later)

So when you plan on leaving,
Just remember this is the best place
    you could ever be.
Walking out on life is like
Saying you can't handle this world,
So why could you ever handle the afterlife?

So I'm back one more time to say,
That you'd better not be dismayed.
Stay with it, you'll flow with it,
If you just count on time.
    This is a rollercoaster
    Filled with many images,
    Just take the leap
    Go now
    Get set
If you look back you'll always regret.
