	Story Behind the Song I've been playing rock music since the 60's and have decided to use instruments that I've built to play alternatively reworded songs which had little meaning to me. These more progressively minded lyrics appeal to the individual who deep down inside, believes in himself or herself. Lyrics Well the Folks in charge are cheats And the poor folks feel the heat And the people in between tow the line Yet if all the things could be All divided equally Everybody in the world would be doing fine Then our time could be spent making music Playing games that are mostly amusing Having fun while we live useful lives Plucking our music away Make the most of every day And we spend lots of time each day Practicing harmony A change will have to come Those in power all will run Cause their time for ruling lives will be done And the world can really change Seize the moment, rearrange Our good manners will return when we end war Chorus Lets change this world where we all must reside If we don’t then we will not survive Buy only things that you really need Cause when you buy more you just feed their greed {Oh you don’t want to feed their greed Let’s get together, be clever And we’ll find a way to transform that greed Into generosity Then we’ll be on course for a peaceful world} If we work towards equity In the future we might see Well a world that’s built on generosity Sharing resources with all Every human can stand tall End growth of the greedy monstrosity
