    Story Behind the Song
We were driving into Las Vegas at 2 a.m. to begin our recording session. Earlier that day I had still been struggling with lyrics for this song and as we approached the lights of the city of Vegas, I began reflecting on all of my friends I grew up with there. It had now been about 6 years since I've been away from home and over that time so much had changed. In fact, most of my friends that I had gone to church with had decided maybe the "God" life was not worth the work. I suddenly began to feel like maybe if I stayed at home then they would still be following like before. It began to get personal, and I began to see the faces of some of my closest friends that had fallen away. Then I decided it wasn't my fault and if I could go away and start a whole new life with new friends and still remain faithful then we all can. There I made the decision that I won't fall away even if my world comes down. man of the lyrics in this song have come directly from conversations I've had with my friends from home.

    Lyrics
Well we're older now, so let's see if we're where we should be.
Or like she said, "it won't last" and "it's all just a phase."
And I see, what they mean. They can't see just how much You mean to me.

"So the times have changed," so you say.. You're not where you used to be.
And all your friends have changed... well so did mine.
but it's still not a phase to me.
And I see, you and me. You've tried everything.
So why don't you try keeping your word.

I won't fall away... Even if my world comes down.
And You're not far away... I meant it when I said I'll follow.

We were just kids then. But you knew what your heart said.
And all you know now is you just don't know a thing.
And I see, the way you look at me.
Just waiting for me to come down.
But I.. But I still remember.

I won't fall away... Even if my world comes down.
And You're not far away... I meant it when I said I'll follow.

So you go your way for now.
But don't blame it on Him 'cause He's never changed.
I understand so many have faded away.
but you and me were supposed to make it.
I still remember when you said to me.

"I won't fall away. Even if my world comes down. He's not far away."
I thought you meant it when you said "I'll follow."

And when I look into your eyes it's just not there anymore.
Now why did you bring me into this race if you did not plan on finishing it out yourself.
Tell me what happened, did you just erase His name. Is He really that easy to forget.
Just tell me, just rememer, always keep in your mind.
It's never too late to come home.
