Story Behind the Song
This song is written for my wife. It's actually for when we got engaged. It's a kind of proposal in song form, at least in my head. Unfortunately I wrote it after the fact, when we were engaged, but it would have been cool. Hey you. Guy getting married, you can use this song as your proposal. I won't sue, I promise.
Lyrics
What's on my mind, I press rewind, I've laid it on the line
Give Me a sign, I don't read minds, do you respond in kind?
I've laid my cards out, it's your call. Is there anything at all?
I've upped the ante. Do you fold, the engine's getting cold.
Now, I'm growing up, I'm speaking out, no pulling punches now my time is running out, and running down, lets double down, bet the farm and wave goodbye to this town.
