	Story Behind the Song Just The Same was inspired by the many faces of separation. My girlfriend and I spend many days apart because i tour quite a bit. But true, honest love never changes no matter how great the distance. I wrote the whole tune in about 45 minutes in my house in NJ after returning from a long tour. It took 2 takes in the studio with overdubs. Lyrics I knew there'd be a day when I would count the miles between our smiles I knew there'd be a way to find a diamond in the grime of my mind If I'm digging up my dreams it's the just same as letting hope survive a wish is still as real as truth to gain it's just the same Fighting for my cause takes me away to lands unshown recreating all the laws lets me roam to change the things I've known If I'm halfway around the world it's just the same as sitting by your side absence shines a light on what remains it's just the same Everything I see is an open book of opportunity and everyone is free if they read the words of possibility the monster in the dark is just the same as never trying fear is still as real as hurt and pain it's just the same
