A song about nostalgia and love. When you love someone or something, you must learn to lose - this should be rather trivial by now.
Credits: Written and performed by Mikhail Pesok

    Story Behind the Song
I wanted to pay some tribute to the past. The lyrics talk about the meaning of the past and our memories about it. It took me
about a week to write it and record it, but
I was only working part-time. There were
about 10 takes for the guitar parts and 4 takes for the voice.

    Lyrics
    I've Learned to Lose

At this point in time with a gentle sound
Let's pretend to travel back to where we're from.
All the crossed out lines and all the luck we found
Are too essential to regret or to consider gone.

This deja vu is a plagiarism
Of my own dreams of you.
Recall the song made in Liverpool
When the music ruled our home.

    If I have won,
    Then our contest
    Was wrong.

    I've learned to lose,
    Switched to jazz
    From our blues.

Times have changed with us, in a different way,
So they're stuck somewhere behind while we are here.
We still watch the stars, "believe in yesterday",
But our sentimental kind is quite sincere.

Say "C'est la vie"- any anecdote
Can be your thought of me.
Recall the bridge over troubled song
In the town we long to reach.

    If I have won,
    Then our contest
    Was wrong.

    I've learned to lose,
    Switched to jazz
    From our blues.
