From the basements of suburbia armed with a mic and a mac. The guitar tracks were recorded in Andi & Brooke Fitts' living room during a trip to Seattle. I think Brooke was cooking when I layed this down. When I got back to Colorado the rest came together. This is an old song but I like the feel. The rhythm loop consists of goat toenails clicking on a harmonica case.

    Story Behind the Song
I'm pretty sure this was written in England around the time of In Search of The Flip. I can still recall the crumbling plaster of the schoolhouse I lived in and I was listening to a lot of Elliott Smith at the time, which, in my mind, accounts for the style and sound.

    Lyrics
I wonder why you led me through the claws that caught my generation
You gave me life; could it be that I could share effectively this hope?

    In a life worth living
How could I not be giving answers that I've found?
    You and I might disagree
And thats fine with me, but won't you stick around

I'm scared of triteness and so I always water down whatever's on my heart
Scared to be right and so I leave you in your desperation

    In a life worth living
How could I not be giving answers that I've found?
    You and I might disagree
And thats fine with me, but won't you stick around

    Would you leave me?
Would you leave me if I was falling?
    Would you believe me?
Would you believe me if I was calling out for something new... something true?
