	Story Behind the Song Contrary to certain malicious rumors, this song is only partly related to the songwriter's fondness (and not his "obsessive compulsion") for the animatronic teddy bear in Steven Spielberg's movie "AI." I think the song speaks for itself. Lyrics Everybody said, "Get a bird," but it's just not the same when a robot calls your name in the morning. Despite what the newspapers say, I know it's not a sin yet to know a piece of tin the way I do (and I do). Sometimes I feel like a robot And I wonder if my robot feels like me. They say that this love can't be real, but there's nothing artificial about the special way that I feel. Every day I drone on like a bee, but when I come home, my robot treats me just like a queen (or should I say a king). Sometimes I feel like a robot and I wonder if my robot feels like me.
