	Story Behind the Song This is one of my earliest songs, probably the 3rd one I wrote back in 1997. This was when my wife and I still lived in Manitoba and there came a flood on the Red River. Grand Forks North Dakota was submerged for a time and declared a disaster area. Then the flooding moved North to Winnipeg. It was called the Flood of the Century, so high was the water, and so devastating the result. I was so impressed with how people rallied to help each other I was moved to write. A number of poems came as a result and so did this song. The flooding river became a metaphor for something else - a wave of creativity perhaps. Come down to the River and find out for yourself.
