The second song on our forthcoming "You're an Impulse EP"
    CD: You're an Impulse EP
    Credits: Written by David Fuller

    Story Behind the Song
Wrote this song after listening to both the Flaming Lips and ...Trail of Dead and thinking, "Wow, that stuff is cool, I want to write a song." It's more like me than them, but hey, that's a good thing, right?

    Lyrics
    Dimples, smile wide
Act as if you’ve got nothing to hide
    “Yes, that car is mine
It is surely not leased to my
    Too nice employer
I’m living the best that I can.”

    Keep it on your mind
That dimension you swore you would find
    Laughing at the lines
That he says when he looks at your
    Average career
But you’re living the best that you can

    Facing yourself facing forward
    You never met Juliet
You never met your own classic romance
But facing your fears facing downward
You never meant all of it
You never meant to squander your last chance
At living the best that you can

    Kicking up a storm
    An insatiable diet for scorn
    Lying by the door
    “She’s a model, she’s not shooting
    Porn at a strip mall…”
You’re living the best that you can

    Living for the goal
You created in spite of your mold
    Challenging the role
Of your father in things that are
    None of his business
You’re living the best that you can

    Facing yourself facing forward
    You never met Juliet
You never met your own classic romance
But facing your fears facing downward
You never meant all of it
You never meant to squander your last chance
At living the best that you can

    “To think I wanted to
Live for a while in your shoes”
    Dreams far away
Never stay or there’s something to lose

    Demonstrate the times
With a piece of construction grade pine
    Sawing in a line
While you pray for a God
    That believes in the world
You’re living the best that you can

    Facing yourself facing forward
    You never met Juliet
You never met your own classic romance
But facing your fears facing downward
You never meant all of it
You never meant to squander your last chance
At living the best that you can
