Story Behind the Song
Artist History
Formed in 1987, the band was originally called "Clandestine. Today they're "The Rogues" who, for over six years, have been traveling around the country entertaining people with delightful harmonic pipes and pounding drums. With their infectious nature and warm interaction with the audience, they have quickly become the premiere musical performance group on the Renaissance Festival circuit today.
This tune proved extremely difficult to perform as the tuning of the tempered scale of today clashes with the untempered tuning of the bagpipe. The consequence is many minutes of tuning; the keyboard to match the lowest note on the bagpipes, followed by the tuning of all the other notes on the bagpipe to match the keyboard.
