Lyrics
“Over the Falls”

We’ve spent this pleasant time together,
And now we find ourselves alone.
As we walk your hand is warm and soft,
While mine feels clammy, cold as stone.
We walk for miles on this summer night,
Laughing talking looking at the stars.
Lie on our backs in greenest grass,
Knowing that this blissful world is ours.
(Chorus):
I am running in circles for you – and-
Climbing up the walls
My heart feels – like I’m in a barrel
Going over Niagara Falls
Pinned down and yet not frightened
By this steady gaze we share.
My hand begins a nervous tremble as
I run my fingers through your hair.
My mouth opens to speak finest words
Of pastoral phrase.
But nothing more escapes my lips
Than a stuttered, babbled, stupid craze.
(Chorus 2x)
You laugh out loud, our eyes unlock,
And somehow the tension disappears.
All that remains is the racing of my heart
As I feel you drawing near.
This time I’ve learned, though I’m no smarter,
And I make no attempt to speak.
I couldn’t care less when my heart stops.
I pray thee Lord my soul to keep.
(OH WEEEEEEEEELLLLLLL)
(Chorus 2x)
