slow guitar instrumental - recorded Nov. 1999. The songs started out as just basic rhythm tracks to which I added a lengthy improvised guitar solo. |

Story Behind the Song
I recorded this in my living room as a practice session to try out my new Pro-tools recording gear. I recorded a simple pattern on my Alesis drum machine, and then overdubbed the other instruments: several acoustic guitar tracks(chords, arpeggios) bass, and electric guitar.
The main lead guitar part was tracked in one continuous take.
I played the part on a Fender Telecaster Plus through a Boss distortion pedal into a 1986 Fender Concert amplifier. I mic'd it with a Shure SM-57. One Take. I sweetened the sound using the plug-ins in the pro-tools software. A stereo delay plug-in is what really makes the guitar sound so thick and three dimensional.
