Story Behind the Song
This song was inspired by the desire to own a motorcycle. It quickly transformed into a tongue in cheek tune about the psyche of a motorcycle dyke. It was recorded at Ironwood Studios in Seattle, WA during three takes.
Lyrics
Damn, i wish i had a motorcycle, damn
i would look so cool, I'd be so hot
i'd look like a dyke that the fifties forgot.
damn, I wish i had a motorcycle damn.
i'd act half crazy but i'd be so smart
like i knew everything about you from the start.
damn i wish i had a motorcycle damn
i'd be so sexy with a tough little pout
i'd look to you honey like i couldn't get much more out.
i'd look so funky, i'd be so sharp
i'd keep shooting lazy cupid arrows at your heart.
damn, i wish i had a motorcycle, damn
i'd move real smooth, i'd be quite tough
just like a strong sturdy wolf slinking through the underbrush.
I'd have all my friends, we would be in cahoots... (and so on)
