	Story Behind the Song Took about a day to record, was written shortly after the September 11th tradgedy, and to an end it describes our frustration with how people seemed to at the time be forgetting why it all happened, and just going back to life as usuall. Still it's mostly toungue in cheek. I’m badly rhyming and it’s somehow perverse The way my pithy response is just so terse And now that that in reference has been set Can you tell me do I have your attention yet? I’m failing I’m fading I’m cascading into bliss I had a terrible run in with a gigantic fish In the midst of a casual piss I met the bastard with a violent hiss And then I took him home to be my pet That said, do I have your attention yet I’m systematically destroying all of my dreams So I can please a happy plastic laser gun beams I jumped in the river and now I’m all wet So please can you say do I have your attention yet? I’m plotting to destroy something truly important you won’t know what it was until my suicide rant while your watching it all on your tv set I’ll be here hoping that I have your attention yet I just ate cannibal cuisine I’m stalking a mouse I once saw in a magazine I just shot your favorite idol star While my friend here casually plays his guitar I’ve been hinting for years at this single event So its too bad I ain’t got your attention yet I’m lying conniving, and I’m putting up signs I’ve been plotting and planning as I do some coke lines I wrote letters to cops and they ignored everyone So I guess I go through with the deed till I’m done I just ramed some sky scrappers with a couple of jumbo jets So tell me you all, do I have your attention yet?
