    A Song. About A Bong.

    Story Behind the Song
This song is an ode to a purple bong given as a gift from Frank D. to Amy B. in college. It represents all the fun and memories of my college days. Since our college colors were purple and white (Texas Christian Unversity - Fort Worth, Texas - Class of 1985), it was only fitting the bong was purple. Although I no longer partake of the magical hemp, this song is a wistful remembrance of fun and carefree days gone past.

    Lyrics
    To Amy From Frank

It was a cold winter’s night, and finals were near
We all needed some warmth and some heartfelt cheer
To relieve our strong examination fear
And distract us from our mediocre college career
Well the answer to our problems was crystal clear
So we grabbed the sparkling , smoking, purple happiness gear

We piled it high with the finest green
We filled the base up with water clean
We put our thumb on the hole to keep the flow pristine
And then we flicked our bic to complete the scene
We took a deep breath in salute to the Dean
And in fifteen minutes we were feeling serene

    Chorus:
    To Amy from Frank
I want to thank, thank, thank you
    To Amy from Frank
I want to spark and spank you
To Amy From Frank, what a pragmatic prank
Still kept in the box that it came in

Amy found the stereo and put on some Prince
Janet got the lighter and she torched some incense
Meredith served cocktails to relieve the suspense
Cass whipped out his baggy and began to dispense
As we all took our places without pomp or pretense
Donna looked us over and she started to wince

We ordered pizza, we ate some pie
We found some chicken we could fry
We scarfed down some muffins and a marble rye
We ate some broccoli spears then we asked ourselves why
As we gobbled up our entire food supply
We drank from a keg until it was dry

    Chorus
