	Story Behind the Song The title, Placebo, is referring to the placebo effect. That is, being placated by something other than that which would legitamately make you feel better. In this case, the person in the song wants a placebo to dilute the pain of an unrequited love. The placebo, however, is not meant to mean a drug... Natural endorphines that the body produces during periods of physical stress are the suggested relief. The rest of the song is about of state of mind. The state of mind being described in the song is a blend of confusion, and mindspins being cuased by an overactice brain. The person in the song describes this feeling as being difficult to resolve, because it leaves them in a perpetual state of perplexity.
