	"In Training" was originally created as the soundtrack for a short film. This version has been shortened and sped up, so as to maintain interest without the visual component. The textures were constructed from recordings made around a Melbourne railway, interpreted through processing from the perspectives of impressionism and minimalism. Again, one way or another, I have synthesised all of the sounds (I have a strong aversion to presets; sounds should always be specifically designed to suit particular pieces of music, or vice versa).

	Story Behind the Song This piece represents an effort to combine what I term as "popular and conventional" styles of music, with more experimental and technical methods of composition. The intention of this approach is that the music may be appreciable to a broad range of listeners; from those who only know what they like, to those who are well studied and understand the complexities that can be involved with creating music. Most of my work is much weirder (experimental and minimal) than these pieces, and can be downloaded from my website, at http://www.terasonic.net/.
