	Story Behind the Song This song was written after a newspaper writer attended a show we played at Bronco Billy's in Milwaukee. In his article, he mistakenly assumed Vince Gill's "Riding the Rodeo" was an original song by us called "Life of A Cowboy"- which is a line from the chorus. So, I decided to write a song with the title the reporter attributed to us. It was a good title that offered plenty of possibilities for a song. In August, 1995 I sat in our motorhome at a little campground in northern IL and wrote words and music at one sitting. We recorded a guitar & vocal demo on a cassette that night. This well-produced studio version was recorded at the Noise Chamber in Rockford, IL in Sept. 1995. I hope to get this one recorded by a nashville artist.
