Story Behind the Song
This one's about someone not feeling comfortable in their own skin. At some point, I think everyone wishes they were someone else and I thought that would be a good song topic. (at least better than me writing about the corns on my toes.) Reid Beaver croons on this one, my bro Pete plays harmonica, and Marc Gray plays the additional guitar. These guys all helped me write it.
Lyrics
Hopes fall, and sometimes
I nearly forget my lines
I rehearse, and relive
And regret every third of my days
If you could wake to something other than
Another day as you, who would you be?
Would you be there?
Would you belong?
Would you forget everything you've known all
along?
Why do you care?
So you were wrong
Well, so was I, you can be alright, I know
Ten days wait, an hour gone
In a moment time is dead
Anticipated for so long
But the moment was always here
Hopes fall, and sometimes
I nearly forget my lines
I rehearse, and relive
And regret every third of my days
If you could wake to something other than
Another day as you, who would you be?
Would you be there?
Would you belong?
Would you forget everything you've known all
along?
Why do you care?
So you were wrong
Well, so was I, you can be alright, I know
