moving beat song about my occupation and years of disdain for it but it pays well, after all isn't that why we do anything for the money of course if I had done music for the money I would have quit a long time ago

    Story Behind the Song
well I have written several songs about my job but this one just kind of rolled off like water on oil, heart felt which is rarely the case. wrote it in one evening and recorded over the next week I do all the tracks and it took many many takes

    Lyrics
    Think you have me covered
    think you have me made
think I am in such a shape I'll do anything you say
I keep looking for some daylight
a place where I can run
think your holding all the cards
I'm stick a fork in done
    (Chorus)
we'll you know its not been easy
and not some game to play
I keep looking for some answers
just another day I should have walked away

I was looking for a lifetime
    my oats seemed duely spent
a partner with a soul like mine
now a way to pay the rent
promise of a future so I put my faith to use
now I'm thinking after all your stink
is just a way to turn you loose
    (Chorus)
    (bridge)
have to laugh in your face
you say the tools are in place
were just blue and gray throw aways
have to laugh in your face
you say the tools are in place
were just blue and gray thow aways
    (lead)
    (bridge)
never in my wildest dreams did I think it would come to this
seems somewhere down the road must have been a turn I missed
like water flowing to its lowest point I'm
just dealing with where I'm at
everyday I wish a long while back I'd been smart enough to grab my hat
    (chorus)
