Story Behind the Song
(As told by Branden, the guitar player who wrote the original version of the music and the lyrics) "This song is about a past relationship of mine. We were at a point where we were confused about some things in our lives. We kinda got at each other's throats. While she was gone on a trip to the east coast, I had thought some things out and had made a lot of changes to become more focused. She came back from the trip, having cheated on me, and broke things off. Although I gave her plenty of closure, she only gave me a bleeding heart and silence. This song kind of explains how I dealt with the situation. I loved some of the things we had done and shared, and at heart she is a wonderfully beautiful and creative person, but in the end I needed to run far away...from her and my feelings.. hence the song name. There aren't many lyrics, but I speak through my guitar playing.
Lyrics
Some days are better
Better without you
Without you I can't stand
Can't stand to face the day
Why'd you leave with nothing to say...
To say "I love you"
As you turn away
From me
From me
Far away
From me
It used to be so good
So good was your touch
So many try so hard.
So hard to lose so much now
Did I do something
Something wrong in your eyes
Your eyes I'll surely miss
Miss your touch and your kiss
Away
From me
Far away
From me
Oh, Far away
From Me
Far away
From me
(solo)
Now that it's been awhile
I've had time to sit and reflect
You weren't the one I needed
A fact I must now accept
Times change, Hearts break
Words said, All I can take
You left me with nothing to say
It's my turn to run...
Far away
For me
Away
For me
Far away
From me
Far away
From me
(outro solo)
