	Story Behind the Song Back in October, 1997, I accepted the worship leader position at a small church in San Marcos, CA called New Creation Christian Assembly. I wanted to make a theme song for the congregation to learn, but couldn't come up with anything that really hit me as being right until one day when commuting to work, I just started singing the chorus. Later that day, I penned the verse and worked out the guitar chords. The church loved it, so I decided to record it and added the scripture reading from 2 Corinthians and the background music using ACID (made by Sonic Foundry, Inc.). Lyrics I am a new creation in Christ. I am a new creation in Him. And the old man is passed away, all things become new (2). Out with the old, in with the new. Out from the cold, and on fire for You! I've been washed in the blood of the Lamb. Cleansed by the Great I AM.
