	A musical exploration of the Great Sand Dunes National Monument in southern Colorado. The suite is made up of four movements, each movement describing a time of day on the dunes. The first movement evokes the image of sunset on the dunes. The second movement, in immediate succession to the first, represents the disorienting qualities of night. The third movement illustrates the gentle serenity of a sunrise. The fourth and final movement depicts an afternoon thunderstorm.
