    Story Behind the Song
Keeping with the theme of Relationships, the song tackles the premise that we are all conditioned to believe we're individually inadequate or failures at sustaining honest and fruitful relationships. I mean, go to your local library and check out all the self-help books that clutter the shelves. All doing a mucked up job explaining how screwed up we all are!

I liked the idea of starting the song with some psychiatric mumbo jumbo, then allow the two people to realize on their own that they together encapsulated the solution to their problems. We don't have to be crutches for each other, but just providing unconditional love goes a long way in healing wounds.

I guess in a nutshell it's about what results when two people truly love each other, hence, creating a third entity - one greater than the two combined.

    Lyrics
Psychiatrist: You are a beacon...a beacon of love. Feel it in your mind. See it with your third eye. Sorry, times up.

He knows it, he feels it, he makes his life impossible.
He complicates his world with all this nonsense, all that's trivial.
He tries to picture himself as some romantic man on a mission.
When all he is is just a puppet on a string, a fool not a king, with a blind man's vision.

    She makes him feel remarkable
    She helps him believe
    She makes him feel invincible
And she wears her Heart on a Sleeve...

Psychiatrist: She stutters, she stumbles. She's driven by jealousy and heartache. She thinks she's where it's at as if where it's at is some great destination!

Get out of the race, find a place, and that ain't there waitin' sittin' in some bookcase.
Let go or before you know, there you go, another victim of the ego.

    He makes her feel remarkable
    He helps her believe
    He makes her feel invincible
Yes he wears his Heart on a Sleeve...

Everybody's got to take a stand, got to have a plan - just save it for a rainy day (when the sun don't shine)
And when the waters start pouring down and you're on muddy ground and the wind starts biting you (better read the signs)

'cause if you wanna take love
    then you better make love
And if you wanna give love
    Then you better live love

    She makes me feel remarkable
    She helps me believe
    She makes me feel invincible
She wears her Heart on a Sleeve...

    Psychiatrist: Shut that off!
