	Story Behind the Song Milwaukee's North Avenue is the epicenter of culture soup. Within 1 mile you'll have 20 somethings from the university bouncing between bars, tree-huggers drinking their coffee at the Bean and Barley, and the inner-city folks driving down to Lake Michigan for a break from the heat. I've spent a lot of time on North Avenue, from my early 20's going to quarter-tapper nights 'till now at 30, where I get the best haircut in town for $10 and drink the the famous Sprecher Beer at a German bar just across the street. North Avenue hasn't changed. That's a good thing.
