	Story Behind the Song it was right around the time when the OJ verdict came in and all this talk show culture was flooding the pop"culture" of the usa. it made me think about how we come to conclusions about things. about what we think of as important and why. plus all the contradicitons of modern day living. Lyrics verse 1: the politics of presidents. the innocense of weed. we haven't seen the worst of it, unless we forget how to read. it's simply this sad state of hypocratic behavior. but what do i know? i don't watch too much TV. chorus: anybody wanna gimme something? all i want is what i need and nothing's for sale that's worth shit anyway. it doesn't really even make much difference, nobody's listening to what i'm saying. we'll all be gone before to long and i'll be laughing all the way. verse 2: d'ya get your thoughts from jenny jones? or pray with springer's final word. rikki lake can make you look so good, but she's just a big fat drama queen that has to suck the life out of eveybody's conversation. there's only so much i can take from these TV talkshow assholes. but what do i know? i don't watch too much TV. chorus verse 3: slick willy got his knob polished. i hope he wore a jimmy. just another hungry money bitch looking for a soul to bleed. if all the fat cats emptied all their closets, you might be surprised. they're probably a lot like you. chorus verse 4: i might be called a dissident, but you're the ones who taught me to read. you could say i'm confident. i got the music in me. there's only one thing after all is away. you forget yourself and you watch too much TV. chorus bridge: i thought i'd seen it all, but then i witnessed OJ's trial and my buddy went to jail for smokin' weed. i'm so glad the system works. all i gotta do is make a million bucks and i can be as freaky as i wanna be. end
