what's directly in front of you is the only thing that truly matters. eveything else is speculative. kind of like jimmy stewart's character in "it's a wonderful life"; it doesn't matter where you end up. in my humble opinion, it's imperative to enjoy the journey getting there.

    Story Behind the Song
i was homeless in austin and had no idea where i was going. my feeling was not unlike being half way up the hill on a huge roller coaster; i knew something truly exciting was about to happen, but i wasn't quite sure if the car would stay on the rails. i was at a guy's house and nobody was home. it was one of those lucky times where everything just poured out at once and ten minutes later disneyland was not only a theme park, but a song as well.

    Lyrics
    verse 1:
goin' to a party. gonna learn to shine.
    reconstruct up all the pieces
    to make my bottom line.
    gonna get a little funky.
    gonna get real high.
kick back. don't have a heart attack
when you look behind these eyes.

    chorus;
    i've never been to disneyland.
    i don't think i care.
could this be hell or the promised land?
    don't let yourself forget that
    you're there, here, and everywhere.

    verse 2:
i got some land way far away.
all my friends that can make it there,
ya know they're welcome to stay.
    we're gonna have a party.
    gonna drink some wine.
    we don't hold grudges,
i hope ya don't judge us.
if you do we don't give a flying fuck.

    chorus

    verse 3:
    why talk about money?
    it's a disgusting habit.
the best way to eat a peach
is to reach right up and grab it.
i wanna tell ya something before i go:
ya gotta learn to give good lovin'
    before yo' ass will grow.

    chorus
    end
