This song is about losing that special someone in your life, and realizing you don't know what you've got until it's gone. |

Story Behind the Song
This song was written by my husband, Brian, while he was working a night shift job at a paper factory. It only took him a few hours to write the lyrics and the music (on a napkin). It took us approximately two hours to record, and a few takes each.
Lyrics
The Love I Found in You
Verse 1
Sit on my porchstep thinking of you
Thinking of all the things we've been through
Oh, we had it made
Look at your pictures and wonder why
You left me with teardrops in my eyes
I guess it's the price I paid
Chorus
Ooh baby, should have known it from the start
That you'd take away my heart
Ooh baby, you left me feeling blue
And I'll never find the love I found in you
Verse 2
Wondering if you're thinking of me
Or am I a faded memory
You were my best friend
Now you moved on with your life
I thought I was gonna be your wife
Why did it have to end
Chorus
Ooh baby, you left me in so much pain
And it's driving me insane
Ooh baby, my love for you was true
And I'll never find the love I found in you
Bridge
What can I do
I'm still in love with you
Come back to me
And I'll give you all my love
Like you've never seen
Guitar Solo
Chorus
Ooh baby, should have known it from the start
That you'd take away my heart
Ooh baby, you left me feeling blue
And I'll never find the love I found in you
Ooh Ooh Ooh
No I'll never find the love I found in you
No I'll never find the love I found in you
No I'll never find the love I found in you
No I'll never find the love I found in you
