	Story Behind the Song The song lyrics came while watching a part of the movie Cast Away when Tom Hanks is in the raft in the middle of the ocean durring a storm. That raft was all he had to keep him from being destroyed by the torrent. What a picture of our need for the cross for true life. It is all we have that is good and that protects us. He is our driftwood in the sea and we may be battered and bruised, but never defeated because our driftwood is strong enough.
